DR. NORADLIN YUSOF

Principal Educational & Clinical Psychologist | Senior Assistant Director

“CPH is a community of passionate individuals and professionals united by a common purpose – wanting to do good, doing the right thing.

Who is Noradlin?

Be bold, brave and kind in the many roles we play. I am a mom to two teenage girls – one of my many wonderful roles that I play. I am also proud to be a daughter, wife, sister and friend.

Known affectionately as ‘Lin’ to her colleagues, Noradlin’s career as a Psychologist could be said to be a culmination of her experiences and interests growing up. Born into a family with a humble background, she experienced how her parents worked hard to provide for her family. Thankfully, in those days the community spirit was strong and neighbours could rely on each other for help. This opened her eyes to the importance of mutual help and community. Combined with her interest in understanding human behaviour, Psychology was a natural choice for her.

Lin believes that one needs to be healthy, both in body and mind, to be able to make the best decisions when helping others. To that end, she exercises at least three times a week, reads widely, plays music and engages in mindfulness practices.

Noradlin in CPH

Lin’s responsibilities at CPH are threefold: She provides supervision to CPH Psychologists in her team; develops programmes at CPH to better equip Psychologists to better serve their clients and; coaches other professionals in the social service sector – all while working part-time!

I find all of them very fulfilling as they create impact and change – not just to the person I’m working with, but also to the organisation and families that we are trying to reach out to.

CPH for Noradlin

Family. We are close-knit and open to approaching others for help and support.

To Lin, CPH is a community of passionate individuals and professionals united by a common purpose – wanting to do good, doing the right thing.

She maintains that there is a lot of care amongst CPH employees – not just for clients but for each other as well. She fondly recalls organising the year-end party as a newbie in CPH back in 2017, with a team consisting of Researchers and Psychologists from different departments. It gave her a chance to interact and connect with other members in CPH. She also mentioned how touched she felt when everyone chipped in to make the CPH office move a possibility during the COVID period. “I could really feel everybody’s genuine care for one another and for CPH”, she exclaimed.
